Women’s History Month: Get $10 off a Lyft ride to one of these six locations in Pittsburgh

For Women's History Month, Lyft is offering $10 off rides to and from these women-owned businesses and museums in Pittsburgh.

To celebrate Women’s History Month Lyft is offering a $10 credit on a ride to and from select places in cities across the US.

In Pittsburgh, you can use the code WHMPIT19 to get a $10 off rides to these six locations:

Head to Modern Cafe and check out City Books

Modern Cafe has been serving “shots and beer on the North Shore since 1933.” Their exterior neon sign lights up Western Ave., while (fun trivia fact alert!) their interior has a cameo in the movie “Wonder Boys.”

Since you aren’t driving, this is a great opportunity to take advantage of their wide selection craft beers, including local favorites Hitchhiker and Grist House. The menu is comprised of hefty sandwiches, salads, and burgers (or you can take advantage of the Modern Hangover Wrap on their Saturday brunch menu). After your drinks and meal, remember you can also grab an ice cream sandwich for dessert and support another fabulous female-owned business — Leona’s Ice Cream Sandwiches!

After your belly is full of beer and food and ice cream, stumble around the corner to City Books. Owned by Arlan Hess, City Books is Pittsburgh’s oldest used bookstore. At approximately 600 square feet, it might seem tiny, but she packs a lot onto the shelves. (I have never left empty handed.)

The Fine Print: What you need to know about the Lyft Women’s History Month promo

  • The code WHMPIT19 can be used twice per user
  • The promotion runs from March 8 to March 31, 2019
