A neighborhood arts festival // Long before Lawrenceville, Shadyside was the neighborhood for arts and music in Pittsburgh. Mayor Peduto has often talked about the music scene and seeing Rusted Root at the Artery in Shadyside in the ‘80s and ‘90s. This weekend is the annual Shadyside Arts Festival where artists from all over the country will take over Walnut Street.
