BEER: The six beers of Thanksgiving
We rounded up our six favorite (Pittsburgh) beers you can share with friends and family at Thanksgiving. These carry-out options are available today and then again on Black Friday when the breweries reopen after the holiday.

NOW OPEN: Meet the newest holiday pop-up bar with a purpose
The Chrismakkuh Galley bar has popped up in Bakery Square for the holiday season. The bar is a collaboration between the Federal Galley and Smallman Galley teams. In addition to the holiday decor and impressive cocktail list, 50% of the proceeds from the bar will be donated to Tree of Life and East Liberty Presbyterian Church.

PODCAST: Spaces and places
In episode 04 of “The Slaw: Staying on top of Pittsburgh,” we talk to Karen Lue — a practicing artist and full-time manager of the new Pitt Global Hub — about places she is inspired by here in Pittsburgh. For our collaboration of the week, we preview the new bottle shop and taproom in the Strip, a partnership between Pennsylvania Libations & Helltown Brewing. Listen here or subscribe in iTunes.

COMING SOON: Bar Botanico in Lawrenceville
Chef Rafael Vencio, a Smallman Galley alum and founder of the Kanto Kitchen pop-up series has been named head chef at Bar Botanico, a contemporary American restaurant with a focus on thoughtful, elevated cocktails and family-style dining. They officially open this weekend in Lawrenceville. Check out our sneak peek of the space (and the menu) before you go.
