From Opening Day at PNC Park to Earth Day, we’ve mapped out all of the grand openings, yoga classes, theater premieres and everything else you will want to do in April in a handy day-by-day list here.

Fish Fry of the Week: This week we are recommending a fish fry that won’t leave you smelling like fish. Onion Maiden offers a vegan fish fry on Fridays. We sent Alexa, who writes the vegan food blog, Fooduzzi, to check it out. Read her rave review here.

Beer of the Week: For your drinking pleasure, we recommend the Conversion, a blonde ale from Hitchhiker Brewing. With tap rooms in Sharpsburg and Mt. Lebanon you can find this delightful brew on either side of the city.

ICYMI: Missed your shot at “Hamilton” tickets? We’ve got a preview of all of the other theater productions in Pittsburgh you should see this year.

Pittsburgh History Fun Fact: Meet the Fussfungle, Pittsburgh’s other famous cocktail export.

What’s a zapiekanki? Popular street food in Poland, zapiekanki is an open-faced sandwich made of half of a baguette or other long roll of bread, topped with sautéed white mushrooms, cheese and sometimes other ingredients, and toasted until the cheese melts. It’s typically served hot with ketchup, and we know how much yinz love ketchup.
