There are many fish fry followers in Western Pennsylvania who will tell you that the Swissvale Fire Department fish fry is one of the best in town. (This year the Swissvale fish fry made it to the final four of The Incline’s fish fry bracket.)

Due to COVID-19, fish fry season ended early this year. If you didn’t get your fill of fish, you can now add the Swissvale Fire Department’s monthly fish fry to your takeout rotation. Pick up a delicious dish and support the Swissvale Fire Department.

October 9 is the last fish fry of the year.

The Swissvale Fire Department has been hosting a fish fry on the 2nd Friday of the month from July to October. This Friday is the last fry-day until next year.

The October 9th fish fry will have some seating, but the entire menu is available for takeout.

The fish often sells out, but the beer-battered grilled cheese has received rave reviews.

How to order

The Swissvale Fire Department is a well-oiled machine when it comes to serving up fish. I was impressed by the ordering process and they take credit cards.

It is recommended that you call-in your order ahead of time.

Masks are required to enter the building.
