The Return of Roundabout Brewery’s pop-up beer garden

This Sunday (after the Pittsburgh Marathon) head to Roundabout’s riverfront beer garden for tunes, tacos and beers in the Chateau section of the North Side.

Update 10/25/2019: The Roundabout Brewery Pop-up beer garden is open for one more weekend!

  • Saturday 10/26 – 1 pm to 5 pm
  • Sunday 10/27 – 1 pm to 7 pm

Rollin’ down the RIVER.

The team at Roundabout Brewery (based in Lawrenceville) is bringing back their pop-up beer garden program! For all you craft beer insiders, the pop-up will be in the same location as last year (along the Ohio River).

Pro Tip: This is a perfect post-marathon activity for folks running (or cheering) the race.

When is it happening?

The 2019 season opener for Roundabout’s riverfront pop-up beer garden will be this Sunday, May 5 from 2pm to 8pm.

Pro Tip: If you’re there between 3pm and 7pm, check out DJ Pandemic Pete as he sets the mood with hot jams to pair with your cold beers.

Where is the pop-up beer garden?

It’s quaint and cute and admittedly a little hard to find. You’ll want to type this address into your Googles: 1836 Oxline St. 15233

Upon arrival, you MIGHT think you’re in the wrong spot. Fear not.

If you see Graceland Automotive or Chateau Cafe, you’re getting warmer. Look for the tents, tables, chairs, food truck and people. There is some parking close by. But even more importantly, the beer garden is located right on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail, perfect for the end (or start?) of your bike ride.

The Roundabout Brewery pop-up is a true pop-up in every sense of the word. They often choose to forego the pop-up on rainy days and it ONLY exists on weekends.

If last year is any indication, their hours will be 2-ish to 8-ish pm (Saturday & Sunday) and the best way to stay in the know is to follow Roundabout Brewery on Instagram for regular updates.

What if I get hungry at the pop-up?

Good news! This Sunday, La Palapa food truck is booked to serve up their tacos, quesadillas, and more. Additional trucks will be serving throughout the season, so check the socials for the lineup.
