Taking their classes online, here’s how a handful of local yoga studios are continuing to offer classes
This week, many of Pittsburgh’s beloved yoga studios temporarily closed their doors in response to COVID-19.
However, that doesn’t mean you have to stay off your mat. Through the magic of streaming, you can tune in to these classes from the comfort of home. Pittsburgh’s community of yogis continues to respond to COVID quarantine, offering classes, meditation sessions, and a little bit of zen during this uncertain time.
Here’s how you can Namaste when you’ve gotta stay at home.

Om Lounge ($)
East Liberty’s Om Lounge recently relocated to a new space on N. Highland, and while you can’t visit the new space now, you can digitally check it out through its Namastream. For $12 a month, you can join owner Suzanne for daily live-streamed classes, or check out the library of pre-recorded content on demand.
YMCA Pittsburgh (free)
The YMCA’s “Y with You” online resource makes getting a sweat on at home easy. Simply choose from the library of pre-recorded content, including beginner flows, guided meditations, and “Weekday Wind Down” practices.
Yoga Love Pittsburgh (free)
Yoga Love Pittsburgh specializes in hot yoga, but the studio launched online alternatives earlier this week starting with free YouTube classes and a soon to be announced online streaming membership platform. The paid online membership will include “mini-workshops, meditations, yoga nira, and so much more.”
Inhale Pittsburgh is offering a variety of online alternatives to fit each yogi’s needs. You can purchase single video and audio classes for $5 each, or join the studio’s private Facebook group for $20/week. The private group includes 5 live-streamed classes a week, as well as a weekly meditation.
Amazing Yoga Pittsburgh has been offering online classes, meditations, and tutorials for a while, and for $14.99 a month, you can have access to the full library of prerecorded classes.
Yoga Hive (free)
The Yoga Hive has taken its practice online, continuing to offer the same schedule of classes. Sign up via the studio’s site, and you can practice with yogis across Pittsburgh simultaneously through Zoom conference. Stay up to date with Yoga Hive’s daily offerings on its Facebook page.
Mookshi Healing Arts (donation-based)
Mooskshi is offering classes via Facebook Live, with multiple offerings on some days. The studio is asking for donations from those who are able via PayPal for those who virtually attend classes.
I AM Yoga Squirrel Hill (free)
Keep your eyes peeled on I AM Yoga’s Facebook page, where the studio is live-streaming classes daily. Stay tuned to the studio’s event page, where upcoming classes are announced.
Yoga Factory Pittsburgh (free)
Based in Lawrenceville, Yoga Factory has been live-streaming classes on Facebook for the past few days. These online classes are free, for now, as the studio figures out how to address streaming and client needs.
According to the Urban Elements Instagram account, they are offering streaming yoga classes every day via Instagram.
You can access video classes from One Point One Yoga on Vimeo for $5 a class or $20 a month.

Don’t let quarantine keep you from moments of mindfulness. Stay on top of your favorite studio’s programming, and see if you can spare some time to hit the mat. Taking some time for a few stretches, or a quick sun salutation can actually help combat stress.
