Sunny Side Up is an outdoor, recurring, pop-up brunch partnership between Very Local and Pittsburgh Sandwich Society. Join us in their side lot to eat great food, drink great beers and take advantage of Pittsburgh’s summer sunshine. Your $10 ticket gets you:

  • 1 menu item of your choice
  • 1 beer from Grist House (a nonalcoholic drink option also available)

Exact menu to be determined, but last month featured loaded fries with a dippy egg, a breakfast burrito, the ultimate breakfast chicken sandwich with a Just Good Donuts bun, or a Pigeon bagel breakfast sandwich. Gluten-free and vegetarian modifications available.

Additional food and drinks are available for purchase. Remember to bring your ID if you plan on drinking. Tickets are encouraged, as that gets you the brunchclub discount and guarantees that it won’t be sold out. You can still take your chances and pay full price day-of. Tickets available via Eventbrite until 6/21: https://bit.ly/2x0rJYf

Rain or shine.

Stephanie Brea

Stephanie has been organizing events since 1998, starting with a series of motorcycle rides through the Arizona desert to support her father’s business. She’s probably crossed your name off a presale ticket list or served you a beer somewhere around town.

An undergrad degree in poetry means she has lots of unpractical knowledge about iambic pentameter, while a brief stint as a copy editor for Alternative Press taught her that twenty one pilots is stylized in all lowercase letters.

Wanna throw a party in a vacant parking lot? She’s interested.

At the onset of COVID-19, Stephanie took on the role of podcast producer for The Slaw. She’s pretty familiar with a microphone, thanks to that aforementioned poetry degree, and she’s got the wherewithal to ask Epicast Studios for help. She listens to too many true crime podcasts, and currently records from her bedroom.

If you know of someone who would be the perfect podcast guest, send her an email.
