Since we are all spending more time at home this summer, now is the perfect time to work on bringing some of the outdoors inside. This week on the podcast we’re talking plants with Natasha Brittain from Shadyside Nursery. With Kennywood scheduled to open soon, we’ve got a not so brief history of how Garfield took over the Old Mill. And for something to look forward to, we’ve got more details on Jamilka Borges’ new restaurant in Etna.

#PLANTLADY: Keeping those houseplants alive
On houseplants, Natasha Brittain of Shadyside Nursery says: “Anyone is capable of doing this.” Tune in as the self-described #PlantLady suggests great first-time choices for novice green thumbs.

House/Home

77 Lightcap Road Unity PA Log Cabin

History peeps will enjoy this. We found a two-story log farmhouse for sale in Latrobe. Poke around the photos and note the original ceiling beams and exposed log walls. This rustic, country home was built prior to the Civil War. Pretty neat.
